#Import Smart CRM records from CSV
The Smart CRM Import Wizard guides a CSV through Upload, Map, Review, and Import so records and relationships can be checked before they are created.
#Who this is for
Use this guide when an existing CSV needs to enter Smart CRM in bulk.
#Start the correct import
Open the import action for People, Companies, Opportunities, Tasks, or Notes. Choose the entity that owns each CSV row; do not use a company import for contact rows or an opportunity import for general notes.
#Upload, map, review, and import
- Upload the CSV file.
- Map each source column to the correct standard or active custom field.
- Skip a column when it should not enter CRM.
- Review the mapped values and relationship choices.
- Confirm the import only when the preview is accurate.
After processing, inspect Import History instead of assuming every row succeeded.
#FAQ
#Which CRM records can I import?
The Import Wizard provides separate flows for People, Companies, Opportunities, Tasks, and Notes.
#Should I import before checking duplicates?
Review existing CRM records and the mapping first. The wizard’s review step is the place to catch wrong entity choice or column mapping before import.
